The Archaea management team has extensive knowledge of biogas and experience within the RNG industry, having helped design, build, and develop key gas processing systems utilized in the majority of U.S. RNG facilities in operation today. Archaea’s team brings together expertise in project development, engineering, operations, finance, and public company management from across energy sectors.

Nick Stork

Mr. Stork has served as Chief Executive Officer of Archaea Energy since September 2021. Mr. Stork served as co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Archaea Energy LLC from its founding in November 2018 until combination with Rice Acquisition Corp. and Aria Energy LLC in September 2021. Since November 2016, Mr. Stork has also served as Chief Financial Officer and a director of Noble Environmental, Inc., an industry-leading environmental services company focused on providing innovative solutions to solid waste management companies, and Managing Partner of Noble House Capital, where he is responsible for investing and business development in the Appalachian Basin. From 2013 to 2016, Mr. Stork served as a Principal with Baleen Capital Management, a global value investment firm. Mr. Stork is a graduate of Dartmouth College.

Richard Walton

Mr. Walton has served as President of Archaea Energy since September 2021. Mr. Walton served as co-founder and President of Archaea Energy LLC until combination with Rice Acquisition Corp. and Aria Energy LLC in September 2021. Mr. Walton oversees the process of gas extraction at partner sites, manages business operations, and works to increase awareness of the benefits of RNG nationwide. Before working at Archaea Energy LLC, Mr. Walton was the CEO and director of Noble Environmental, Inc., an industry-leading environmental services company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, focused on providing innovative solutions to solid waste management companies. At Noble’s municipal waste site, Mr. Walton oversaw the operation of a 2000 scfm high-BTU project.
Mr. Walton was also the CEO of Redstone International, a services company that specializes in deep foundations, earth retention, and shoring systems and grouting solutions. Before Redstone, Mr. Walton was an investor with the private equity firm AlpInvest in New York, NY, and an investment banker with Citigroup. Mr. Walton graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Mr. McCarthy is the Chief Investment Officer of Archaea Energy, where he is responsible for the Company's renewable natural gas commercial partnerships and offtake, corporate and business development, and finance. Brian is passionate about connecting the good we do at our projects and connecting with like-minded partners interested in economic, environmental, and social justice. Mr. McCarthy served as Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of Archaea Energy LLC until combination with Rice Acquisition Corp. and Aria Energy LLC in September 2021. Mr. McCarthy was previously a research associate at Saltonstall and Co. (S&Co.), a Boston-based financial services company and equity sponsor of Archaea Energy LLC. At S&Co., Brian was responsible for identifying energy investment opportunities and supporting capital growth in companies focused on sustainability.
Before moving to SS&Co., Mr. McCarthy was an analyst with Stevens Capital Management, Schneider Capital Management, and Goldman Sachs. Mr. McCarthy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he studied Physics and Economics.

Derek Kramer

Mr. Kramer serves as Archaea Energy’s EVP & Chief Operating Officer (COO), reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and is responsible for the comprehensive vision, strategy, planning, personnel, and execution of all aspects of the Operations Lines of Business. His primary goal is to ensure business functionality to drive extensive, profitable, and sustainable growth. He holds responsibility and oversight for core operations, compliance, safety/health, operational performance & planning, internal/external partnerships, Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT), and security (Cyber and Physical). He is also responsible for the corresponding P&Ls spanning a fleet of Renewable Natural Gas, Landfill Gas-to-Electric, Dairy Digester facilities, and support locations.
Mr. Kramer holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia and bachelors’ degrees from the University of Colorado and the US Air Force Academy.

As Vice President of Renewable Partnerships at Archaea Energy, Ms. Turner is responsible for overseeing and developing partnerships with organization seeking to decarbonize their operations and products. Ms. Turner has nearly a decade of experience in clean energy solutions, environmental credit compliance, and business partnership development. Prior to joining Archaea Energy, Ms. Turner worked in energy compliance services at Weaver & Tidwell LLP where she advised biofuel producers eligible for federal and state renewable fuel credits. Before that, Ms. Turner held multiple roles at Air Liquide including technical sales, market strategy, business development, and policy/regulatory activities within the biogas business.
Ms. Turner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. McNeil is the Senior Vice President Operations for Archaea Energy where he is responsible for the company’s plant operations, development plan execution, and asset enhancement. Mr. McNeil has over 10 years of experience leading operational teams with a focus on data and transparency. Prior to joining Archaea Energy, Mr. McNeil spent 14 years at Norfolk Southern Railroad (NYSE: NSC) in various roles spanning asset utilization, operational performance, network planning, and commercial strategy. Mr. McNeil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Mr. Yowonske has over 10 years of experience working on electrical engineering innovation, industrial plant processes, and large construction plants. Mr. Yowonske leads Archaea Energy’s development team, advising on investment opportunities and growth strategy. Before working at Archaea, Mr. Yowonske led the commissioning team for Noble Environmental, Inc.’s 2000 scfm high-BTU RNG plant. Mr. Yowonske has also held engineering and management positions at Ansaldo-STS Hitachi, ICxt – FLIR, and Cattron-Theimeg. Mr. Yowonske holds a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburg and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Penn State University.

Olivia McNamara is the Vice President of Health and Safety at Archaea Energy. Olivia has more than 20 years of experience leading health, safety, and environmental teams. She has held roles of increasing responsibility throughout her career, including development of Corporate Safety programs and ESG strategies. Olivia joined Archaea from Southwestern Energy, where she served as the Vice President of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Regulatory. She holds a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Environmental Policy from University of Tulsa and a Master’s of Science from Oklahoma State University.

Whit Martin

Mr. Martin leads the Hydrogen Strategy & Development function at Archaea Energy. Before joining the company, Mr. Martin served in senior financial and development roles for Air Liquide, including as Global Head of M&A from 2017-2020 in Paris as well as the head of M&A for the Americas from 2014-2017. Mr. Martin led some of the largest and most transformative transactions in the company’s history. He also served as VP of Corporate Finance and Treasurer of Voltaix, a high-growth advanced electronic materials business where he managed the financial development of the company through several rounds of equity and debt financing, construction of new global manufacturing sites, the establishment of strategic joint ventures, and the sale of Voltaix to Air Liquide in 2013.
Mr. Martin is a former VP in the investment banking groups of Credit Suisse and ING Barings in their New York offices. He received a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from the Owen School at Vanderbilt University.

Michael Mitariten

As Director of Gas Technologies for Archaea Energy, Mr. Mitariten helps lead the technology development efforts for biogas upgrading, hydrogen production, and carbon capture. Mr. Mitariten has over 35 years of experience in gas separations for the biogas, natural gas, and hydrogen markets including PSA and TSA adsorption, membrane separations, amine and physical solvent processes, and cryogenic processing. In these areas, Mr. Mitariten holds 23 patents and has been responsible for the process design and supply of hundreds of gas separation systems.
Mr. Mitariten graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in Chemical Engineering and has a Professional Engineering license in the State of New York.

Charlie Anderson

Mr. Anderson has over 30 years of experience developing energy solutions. As the Director of Gas Processing at Archaea Energy, Mr. Anderson is responsible for managing the RNG lifecycle from landfill or farm to pipeline. Mr. Anderson also supports innovation in the RNG industry via his AndersonRNG consulting company in Delaware. Mr. Anderson served as Director of Gas Processing and co-founder of Archaea Energy LLC until combination with Rice Acquisition Corp. and Aria Energy LLC in September 2021.
Before joining Archaea Energy LLC, Mr. Anderson managed the membrane gas separation processes at Air Liquide for 26 years. While at Air Liquide, he invented and patented the leading landfill gas membrane system followed by the development of this technology into a major business segment for Air Liquide in the U.S. and Europe. This technology and associated design guidelines are being used at 25 landfill RNG projects in the U.S. Mr. Anderson graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1972 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
